4/12/2023 0 Comments Keycue cost![]() It is a Meucci MS-4G cue from the Meucci MS series. He said if I couldn't get a thousand dollars for it to keep it! This was in 1992. He said the silver one was rare and the gold one was super rare! Again this is for the "Meucci Originals" version of the "lock and key" cue. Brand new, the silver version sold for $550 with two shafts and the gold version sold for $750 with two shafts. Meucci stopped making it (my Meucci Originals cue) in 1979. One had 22K silver inlay and the other had 22K gold inlay. He told me that they made two "key" cues. I had to wait 5 minutes so the girl could find an older man that had knowledge about it. A year later I called Meucci Factory (which I bought other cues from) and asked about this cue. It is super rare as it is a Meucci Originals cue. I bought a Meucci Gold Lock And Key cue with birds-eye maple from a customer in 1991. I used to own a billiard parlor some years ago. You might get $300 on a good day.Īgain, most collectors will be looking for the older "Meucci Originals" version. Yours is scuffed a good deal, and the black in the butt sleeve seems faded quite a bit. $500 would be in "brand new" condition with zero flaws or scuffs. You'll see them selling for anywhere between $200 and $500 depending on location, condition, and number of straight matching shafts. If yours has a raised key inlay as you mentioned, it would either be a flaw or damage caused by aging. It's the same design, just carried on in subsequent series. ![]() The Meucci C-6 and Meucci 95-29 cues are the same in pretty much every way, including value. The ones above are a remake of that original design (but do differ slightly from the originals designs, and are worth a lot less). The design originated in several older Meucci Originals series. Thus far, its mode of action is still an area which needs to be explored. In eels, we hypothesize that melatonin is an important key player in the regulation of sexual maturation. ![]() The time-keeping hormone melatonin is a well-known transmitter of external cues, and influences various physiological processes, including reproduction. Still, the natural triggers involved in the gametogenesis of eels are poorly understood. In many fish species, changes in external environmental cues, such as photoperiod and temperature, are crucial to induce gonadal recrudescence and development. In order to improve current protocols it is clear that a different approach towards stimulating sexual maturation is required. Artificial reproduction of eels has been pursued for almost 80 years, and maturation protocols have changed little. However, the success rates are still far too low to support a sustainable farming industry, due to low gamete quality and low survival rates of larvae. ![]() ![]() Eel propagation is possible to some extent by applying extensive, expensive, unnatural hormonal treatments. Unfortunately, eels in captivity do not reproduce spontaneously as they remain in a (pre)-pubertal state resulting from a strong neural blockage. Abstract: Worldwide, there is a dramatic decline in freshwater eel populations (Anguilla spp.), resulting in an urgent need to improve eel management and artificial reproduction protocols. ![]()
